Help Newton Schools rise to the top (the winner is based on number of online votes ).  This innovative project is "a strategic partnership between Save that Stuff, Newton Schools, and MIT Sea Grant that will offer cutting edge science and engineering curriculum to schools throughout New England. Our vision is to have the mobile lab spend a few weeks at each school partnering with MIT and Newton students and faculty. The algae lab will engage students through an integrated curriculum of biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, economics and business of alternative energy. Students across New England, from urban schools to the rural north country communities will reap the benefits of this hands-on learning adventure."

Naming at the New Newton North PDF Print E-mail

The new Newton North High School is scheduled to open in September of 2010.  As part of the moving process, the school committee authorized the creating of a Naming Committee* to consider and recommend names for particular places in the new building. The Naming Committee has met throughout the fall, and we are asking for suggestions for names that we may wish to use in the new building.

Help earthquake victims in Haiti PDF Print E-mail

As you know, the people in Haiti continue to struggle after the numerous earthquakes that have hit the country.  The students in the Pilot Program at NNHS are collecting donations, on behalf of Newton North High School, to the Red Cross to help the people of Haiti.

We would greatly appreciate any donation that you can provide.  With 1,800 students in the school, the Newton North community could help the people of Haiti significantly.
