Help Newton Schools rise to the top (the winner is based on number of online votes ). This innovative project is "a strategic partnership between Save that Stuff, Newton Schools, and MIT
Sea Grant that will offer cutting edge science and engineering curriculum to

of alternative energy. Students across New England, from urban schools
to the rural north country communities will reap the benefits of this hands-on
learning adventure."

The
new Newton North High School is scheduled to open in September of 2010. As part of the moving process, the
school committee authorized the creating of a Naming Committee* to consider and
recommend names for particular places in the new building. The Naming Committee
has met throughout the fall, and we are asking for suggestions for names that
we may wish to use in the new building.

As you know, the people in Haiti continue to struggle after the numerous earthquakes that have hit the country. The students in the Pilot Program at NNHS are collecting donations, on behalf of Newton North High School, to the Red Cross to help the people of Haiti.
We would greatly appreciate any donation that you can provide. With 1,800 students in the school, the Newton North community could help the people of Haiti significantly.
Please mail checks payable to "Red Cross" by Feb. 5 to:
