The mission of the Newton North High School Counseling and Guidance Department is to support and enhance the educational process of all students by helping each student develop an accurate self image, take personal responsibility, and learn to make informed, healthy decisions. The Counseling and Guidance Program is developmental by design, focusing on needs, interests, and issues related to the various stages of student growth in three domains: personal/social,academic, and career/postsecondary planning.
